Guardians' Gauntlet

The Guardians' Gauntlet is a 5k obstacle course challenge run in beautiful Walnut Creek Park. The event is designed to test participant's physical abilities in an inclusive environment.

While competing, the racers also have the opportunity to interact with members of the Albemarle County Police Department, who will be on hand to visit with the community, assist at the obstacles, and compete!

Our 2nd annual Guardians' Gauntlet challenge was held on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Thank you all of the amazing participants, wonderful volunteers, and our awesome sponsors! We look forward to seeing you next year!

CLAYS FOR COPS

Grab your shotgun, bring some friends and join us for a 15 station sporting clay shoot! Enjoy a great day at Virginia’s oldest, and certainly most picturesque, Gun Club, Shenandale, and make a positive impact in our community. 5 man teams participate for a chance to be named “top gun”. Need help filling your team?... have one our ACPD officers join you. You won't want to miss this challenging day of clay pigeon shooting, good food, and great people!

POLICE AWARDS BANQUET

A tradition since 1995, the Albemarle County Police Foundation hosts the annual Police Awards Banquet to celebrate the achievements of the Police Department, and recognize outstanding individual accomplishments.

In addition to being an occasion to celebrate, the Police Awards Banquet is also a time for family, friends and fellowship among the ACPD family.

This year's Police Awards Banquet was held on March 23, 2017. A HUGE thank you to our event sponsors!


PUTT PUTT WITH THE POLICE

An event designed to develop positive community relations among the ACPD officers and local youth! Kids have an opportunity to come out and play miniature golf with some of Albemarle’s Finest. In addition to testing their putting skills for a chance to win on a hole-in-one, kids also have the opportunity to explore police vehicles, meet a K-9, enjoy some refreshments and engage in fun activities! A fun family event for kids of all ages!

 Our 2nd Annual Putt Putt with the Police was held on June 13, 2017.
